My name is Joy Johnson, and I'm visual artist who lives and works in New Jersey. I earned my B.F.A. from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University with a concentration in painting and an interest in how it can function as a midpoint between sculpture and media. Recent projects are informed by my experience living with type 1 diabetes and investigate the relationship between biological absurdity and machine logic. I've also been practicing digital illustration since 2013, making comics and drawings about the music I'm into.
